Morley announces new BTEC courses in Sport and Tourism

Morley’s North Kensington Centre for Skills is delighted to launch two new BTEC courses starting in September 2026

Pearson BTEC L1/L2 First Extended Certificate in Travel and Tourism

With the tourism industry re-emerging in recent years and set to grow significantly in the future, this course equips learners with the fundamental skills needed to progress to Level 3, and further study in the field, all within a unique location close to some of London’s most popular tourist areas.

Students will develop key skills in maths, IT, English and communication through: research, data collection, data analysis and evaluation, as well as transferrable skills in problem solving, independent working and critical thinking.

Pearson BTEC L1/L2 First Extended Certificate in Sport

The BTEC Extended Certificate in Sport course provides a broad introduction, alongside specialist optional units into the sports sector, to a major industry in the UK. It supports progression onto L3 study and gives learners the opportunity to potentially progress to a Sport based career.

Students will develop key skills in research, IT, maths, data and evaluation, as well as problem solving, independent working and critical thinking skills. Learners will also gain practical Sport based skills through collaboration with community group partners. These skills will include sportsmanship, ethics, teamwork, and determination.
