Morley is proud to be London’s oldest adult education centre. We’ve provided adult education since 1889 and remain committed to helping London’s adults achieve their educational and career ambitions.
As an adult student at Morley, you will benefit from studying with like-minded adult students, in an environment focused on helping you to achieve your educational goals. Our teachers are experts in their fields and with our smaller class sizes for higher education classes, you will benefit from more one-to-one teacher contact to help you progress and learn individually.
Our college centres are welcoming and small, so you won’t be lost in a crowd or simply be a number in a class, like you could be at a larger university.
We also have extra facilities for our students, including our renowned Morley Gallery and Morley Radio, both of which offer students opportunities to create, curate and display their work.
Our end of year art shows for example, give our arts students a fantastic opportunity to showcase their work in our gallery to wider audiences.

- For our full-time degrees, Cert HEs and HTQs, directly via our website or via UCAS (this is helpful if you are making more than one choice of centre to study). You can find us at Morley College London | UCAS.
Funding your studies
Colleges and universities charge tuition fees for higher education courses. If you’re over 18 years old and want to take a Higher Education course with us, you may be eligible for the Tuition Fee Loan, available from the government, to cover your course fees.
The student loan does not need to be paid back until you are earning a certain level of income.
You can also apply for financial support at the same time as your loan. You can apply for a maintenance loan to help cover the costs of living while studying e.g. contributing to accommodation costs. If you are studying on a Part-Time Higher Education Course, you may not be entitled to a maintenance loan.
What funding help is available?
You can also apply for these grants to cover other living costs. Grants do not have to be paid back, however, there are certain criteria that have to be met to receive a grant.
- Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA)
- Childcare Grant
- Parents’ Learning Allowance
- Adult Dependants’ Grant
If you require Learning Support on your course, you will need to apply for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) at the same time as your loan to fund this. The Additional Learning Support Team at the college can help with this application, please contact then at [email protected] for more details.
