Taming Fire: Metal Sculpture

An introduction to using a gas flame to weld, cut, shape and colour metals. You will learn the basics of forging using our gas forge. Experiment with techniques and work on own projects. Open to all levels including Beginners and more experienced metal sculpture students wanting to extend their skills. Basic studio costs included but materials charged over £7 use. Students are asked to bring their own old shirt, apron or coveralls and strong shoes or boots to wear in the studio.

Class format and activities

Students will be taught in small groups by listening, watching and practicing. Demonstration, step by step guidance and feedback to improve techniques. Practising and developing own metal projects.
