Pilates Mat Work and Body Conditioning - Morley College London

Pilates Mat Work and Body Conditioning

Fundamental Pilates core strengthening exercises aimed at improving and correcting posture. Taught and worked to gentle music to aid muscle memory development. The aim of Pilates is to re-train the brain to recruit the right muscles to perform each movement. Repeating the same movements slowly in control using the same muscles over and over again will make it a reflex arc and will enhance body conditioning in a range of ways. At this level, a good level of fitness is required. This course will also provide an ideal preparation for Jazz Dance study at Morley, taking place on a Tuesday evening from 19. 00. Achievement on your course will be measured by whether you meet the following learning outcomes. At the start of the course you will have an opportunity to discuss these with your tutor and set your own personal targets, linked to the course learning outcomes and future goals i. e. progression to an advanced-level course.
