This Masterclass - Photopolymer Etching will introduce participants to the unique properties of photopolymer, a water-based photosensitive plate adapted for relief and intaglio techniques. You will learn to work in the light and well-equipped studio with specialist facilities and develop ideas and imagery into creative prints.

Each stage of the process is introduced through a demonstration. Students are encouraged to explore the creative possibilities of these approaches throughout the session.
Although this course will provide a comprehensive guide to using this technique a basic knowledge of Photoshop software and knowledge of the intaglio process is required to make the most of this process.
The studio in the Carlyle building (Room CG05) on the ground floor at the Morley Chelsea Centre, Hortensia Road SW10 is light, spacious and well-equipped with specialist facilities for etching. There are 2 Rochat presses bed size 26 x 56 inches.
The course fee includes all materials.
