Class format and activities

Weekly timetabled class in college with social distancing. During these sessions you will work individually and in small and large groups with other students. Typical activities include: Moving around the room to music, rhythmically, doing aerobic exercise specifically tailored to the mature student. Work with hand weights. Floorwork to tone and strengthen muscles. Learn how to consciously relax body and mind. You will be assessed by tutor assessment and feedback. You will be asked at the end of course to assess the progress you have made.

  • 02: Know how to exercise safely and correctly
  • 03: Identify the benefits and purpose of each exercise
  • 04: Maintain cardio-fitness
  • 05: Know how to use hand weights
  • 06: Carry out floor exercises for muscle toning
