BTEC National Certificate in Art and Design (Ceramics) Level 3 Pearson

This one-day-a-week Ceramics course is an intensive programme of study, structured to enable you to further develop both your design and practical making skills. You will work on projects that will take you through several traditional and non-traditional making and decorating techniques, such as throwing, hand-building, pinching, coiling, slab work, and the use of slips, oxides, engobes, and glazing. The course aims to encourage your creative thinking through challenging design briefs. You will work with visual research and design development and develop practical ceramic skills to a good standard for the creation of final designs in response to a project brief.
