Alongside making, you’ll learn how ideas move from concept to finished piece, building confidence, technical ability, and a strong portfolio. This full time course will be 3 to 4 days a week in college at the Noth Kensington Centre for Creative Industries, with the remainder of the week being allocated to independent study The qualification consists of 4 areas, classroom based work where you learn about the Creative Industries, an extended design project set by employers, workshop-based skills where you learn your chosen craft, and an extended work experience placement in the profession you have chosen to study.

This is a two-year, full-time course with a workload similar to studying three A Levels. You’ll be assessed through a combination of written exams (for core knowledge) and practical, project-based work (to demonstrate your craft and design skills).
To succeed, you’ll need to be committed to regular attendance, independent study, and meeting deadlines throughout the course.
Appropriate tools and equipment will be provided. Materials for each lesson will be provided, and additional materials can be purchased from the college. It would be an advantage if you have your own computer at home for independent study.
You could progress onto higher education, an apprenticeship or an entry level position in industry.
