Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

Class format and activities

This full time course will be 3 to 4 days a week in college at the Chelsea Centre for Creative Industries, with the remainder of the week being allocated to independent study. An important part of the course is an industrial placement, which will either be 1 day per week for an extended period, or an intensive full time placement lasting several weeks. The type of placement will be decided once the student has started the course.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English, and Grade 5 or above in Maths

What you need to know before you enrol

This is a 2 year full time course, with the same workload as studying for 3 A levels. The core knowledge and understanding are assessed through an examination, and craft and design skills through assessed practical projects. You must be prepared for the attendance, self-study, and homework demands of the course. Like A levels, there are no tuition fees to study a T-level if you start before you are 19. Students who complete their T-level will receive an overall grade of pass, merit, distinction or distinction*. They will receive a nationally recognised certificate showing their overall grade and a breakdown of what they have achieved.

What you need

You will be provided with all materials needed to complete your course and additional materials can be purchased from the college. It would be an advantage if you have your own computer at home for independent study.
